The special release of december for Mandriva Club members is now available!

#includeResource("Skel.ArticleHeader") The special release, named "Mandriva-2006-december-club" is now available via Bittorrent, with HTTP/FTP mirrors on request. The initial release is 32-bit and contains 6 CDs.

This new "Mandriva-2006-december-club" version is based on the 2006 version which turned out to be a great success, with several positive reviews. This special version is only available for Club members, you will not find it on the Mandriva Store or in other channel.

All the 2006 security updates and the bug fixes are included, no need to reinstall them afterwards. The updated Xorg graphic server corrects most of the known 2006 problems.

Pas de version DVD (diminue le nombre de cd à graver et les manipulations...), pas de version 64 bits… Donc destinée que pour une partie du club…

Are the Xorg updates available for the "Official" 2006 distro? I see the Gnome and OO packages are available for installation on "Official".

Je l'ai essayé et il marche, simple d'utilisation. 1) telecharger les ISO et le script 2) decompresser le sript dans le meme repertoire des iso 3) executer le script.

Et apres un moment voila la version DVD…

Bonjour, Pour avoir la version DVD il paraît que c'est tout simple. Pas pour les vieux comme moi et qui ne pratique Linux que depuis deux mois. Mais j'attendrai...en espérant que l'on me prête vie lol. Cordialement

Please can we have a set of urpmi sources? ISOs are nice for installs on new machines, but urpmi.update; urpmi --auto-select is a much much better way to do it.

Also, any chance of a recent kernel? My Thinkpad would very much appreciate kernel 2.6.14 or greater.

Finally, I would really prefer Mandrake to make the club stuff free to all. I a willing to join the club in order to support Mandriva producing a free distro; but I really don't want any special perks.

Creo que no… lo mismo occuriò con la 2005LE special club, nunca hubo los *rpm en la red… solo por la 2006 oficial, pero me parece que esta version sea la "community" en los mirrors de mandriva. Feliz año nuevo!

Several queries have been made towards (1)the applicability of this new December issue towards the Powerpack Edition. (2) the possibility that one's present installation can be upgraded to this December issue rather than a whole new installation.

¨Pour la version DVD, il y a un petit script très utile qui permet de le réaliser. Je l'ai donné dans le phorum pour les gens interressés avec le mode d'emploi :) Bonne journée

A quelle version correspond-elle ? la Powperpack ? la normale ?

S'il s'agit de la 2006 normale (donc que du libre) pourquoi ne pas la mettre en téléchargement libre ???

J'avoue comprendre de moins en moins la philosophie de Mandriva !
