Improved RPMs Farm System
Merging the system with Cooker contrib system
The idea would be to have a single entry point for contributions, making it easier to keep trace of the packages and the maintainers, and to promote the dissemination of relevant packages. See Merging Club Contrib And Cooker Contrib.
Feedback from the packager
Suggestion by Per Øyvind: I'd like to have the possibility to change status on some packages requested to something like "Won't happen". A lot of the packages requested on the club won't be built due to several reasons, eg. copyright/license issues etc. (things like cedege/winex, vmware etcetc. being requested).
Vote system
Give a defined number of votes to users (say 30). These votes are initially in a "pool". He can assigned any of them to an RPM (he can assign them all to 1 specific RPM or assign only one to 30 RPM), remove them (they are back to the pool), or move votes from one RPM to another. It will prevent old packages from staying at the top of the list and users will choose more carefully applications they vote for. It's close to the KDE way to deal with votes. Variation : you can limit the number of changes a user can do per week.
