Mandriva

urpmi auto-update

To update your system , you used to use:

# urpmi.update -a
to update your package info from all of your sources (basically it just downloads the synthesis.hdlist.cz or the hdlist.cz files from all the repositories and updates the package database). And then
# urpmi --auto-select
to upgrade all upgradeable packages based on what's installed on your system and what's available in the repositories.

From now, you can do it with only one command:

# urpmi --auto-update

Be careful what repositories you have selected, or you just might end up with the latest cooker install when you wanted something a little more stable…

I tried the the urpmi --auto-update and I get the following back: ftp://ftp.join.uni-muenster.de/pub/linux/distributions/mandrakelinux/official/2008.0/i586/media/main/updates/libcairo2-1.4.10-2.1mdv2008.0.i586.rpm 78% of 319k are ready and then the download stops.

I do not know why.

Ami lo que me paso fue que instale la ultima version de mandriva free, pude agregar los repositorios. Actualizó unos dias y ahora ya no lo hace. Por lo que se me bloquea la base de datos. =/
