May I suggest that this is a rather ethno-centric view of teenage sex? In most places around the world it actually happens a lot.

Two comments really. Where I'm from teenagers wallow in sex. I'm sure the liitle rascals are at it right now, as we speak...er..write....er...blog. Next, RH never saw its customer base as the mere desktop user. The enterprise user was its focus and still is. A lot of windows users are also using firefox, thunderbird, and openoffice. The next version of ms office will be a major departure for ms. OO is getting too close for comfort, and new proprietary gates ( no pun) will be erected to make OO less compatible with word, excel, etc. MS said that the power user who was more familiar with ms office as it is would have a steeper learning curve than the casual user. This is the perfect time for many users to make the switch from ms office to OO. If they have to invest time learning the new ms office, they might as well learn a freely downloadable office suite that won't cost hundreds of dollars for each box they put it on. If the enterprise market wants stability, predictability, upscalability, and reliable support, they can go for Sun's star office at a fraction of the cost of ms's suite. If large numbers of people get used to OO firefox, etc, it's a small step to an open os. I think linux on the desktop will in fact be like teenage sex,ubiquitous and fun. cheers
