Summer 2006 Graphic Contest

Objective

This contest challenges graphic artists or photographers into realizing a graphical theme for the Mandriva Distribution consisting in a wallpaper and several splash screens.
It is a nice opportunity to show your talent and your vision as a graphic artist and to share it with the users of the distribution. You're sure to have some happy fans immediately since the lack of a wide choice of bootsplashes or login themes has been often heard in the forums.
An interresting side note is that the idea of this contest comes from the members of the Mandriva Club and the fact that it is opened to non Club Members too.

Basic rules

The contest is open to all (Mandriva employees excepted).

Only one account registration per person is allowed.

A contestant may submit as many entries as she likes.

To submit your entry, post it in the MandrivaClub forum in this thread.
You don't have to provide config files, you will receive help in the forum for them, just provide the pictures. (The inscription to the forum is completly free and don't imply to subscribe to the Club

Schedule

The contest ends on the 18th of July.

Results will be announced on the 21rst of July.

Legal considerations

The work must be original and free of any prior contractual engagement which would restrict its participation in this contest or its later distribution as precised under.

Both during and after the contest you may publish your entry on any other site, so long as you do not breach any of the above terms in doing so.

Every contestant hereby agrees, in accordance with the preceding conditions, to authorize Mandriva to distribute the work he submitted in the contest in an archive file containing all works submitted to this contest or a selection of those works through the Mandriva Club.
Outside of this agreement of distribution, the contestant retains all rights on his work.

Breach of any of these conditions will result in the disqualification of the entrant.
