Wireless devices based on Intersil's Prism chipset:
You'll need several packages: wireless-tools, prism2-utils, and a mandrake kernel >= 2.6.7
Then, go to /etc/wlan and edit the files therein. You will probably not need to bother editing /etc/wlan/shared, but especially /etc/wlan/wlan.conf needs attention. wlan.conf is well commented, and should be fairly self-explanatory.
Finally, Make sure the wlan service is started on boot, and then start or restart it. Obviously, if this fails, then, assuming it is set to start on boot, reboot.
